We have been working super hard in Room 7 and were awarded class of the week in the beginning of February. We also reached our dojo points and had a pyjama party to celebrate.
We started our novels and crafted some bookmarks using origami techniques. We have completed lots of art including some for Valentine's Day.
We celebrated St. Brigid’s day and made some St. Brigid's crosses. We also marked 'Anti-Bullying Week' as a school. We read the story 'Chrysanthemum' and discussed how we should think before we speak, as words can be very hurtful. We made anti-bullying posters for our school.
The Winter Olympics started in Beijing and we have been really invested! We learned all about the weather conditions and some natural disasters that can occur during such conditions. We completed a STEM challenge to create skiers using tinfoil, lollipop sticks and tape. We tested this out on different ‘slopes’.
